Join author and tour guide Roxie Zwicker along with paranormal investigator and radio host Ron Kolek of the New England Ghost Project at the storied South Meetinghouse in Portsmouth’s historic South End. The Meetinghouse is a historic ward hall and was built in 1866, this two-story wood frame structure (complete with clock tower) was built on the site of a 1731 meeting house. For the past 15 years there have been stories of unusual and unexplained activity in this building by former and current occupants. The evening will begin with a presentation on the area, to explore the mysterious and hidden history of the neighborhood. After the presentation guests will be instructed on the tools used during an investigation and then will have the opportunity to explore the building as part of a group. Sections of the building are not generally open to the public, so exploring behind the scenes will also allow an eye opening view of one of the most iconic buildings in Portsmouth. At the end of the walk-through Roxie will do a brief reading for the crowd to determine if any guests have attended with spirits of their own. Expect a few surprises, come and be a part of a fun and memorable evening with the spirits!
