Tarot is called The Mirror of the Soul. It is an ancient divinatory art which uses 78 archetypal cards to represent past, present and future situations in a person’s life. To learn how to read the cards is to learn how to understand life on an archetypal level. A typical reading of the cards mirrors our past decisions, validates our present situation, and projects a probable future for your consideration.
The Rider Waite Smith deck is suggested – but please use whatever deck you would like to work with.
Week One – Let’s get to know your deck, and start with some basic foundations of Tarot. We will meet the cards, their basic messages and characters. Additionally, we will look at numerology, color and symbolism. In this session we will also talk about the care and feeding of your deck, which will help you make the most of the readings that you will perform.
Week Two – Our journey will continue as we learn the language of Tarot with the minor arcana and how the cards connect with one another to tell stories. We also will start to learn Tarot intuitively, which is one of the easiest ways to interpret and retain the messages from the cards. You will start finding the joy and excitement of doing empowering readings in this session.
Week Three – In this session we will work on developing the right questions to ask tarot. We will explore using Tarot to navigate relationships with friends, family and in the workplace. There will be a brief exploration of using Tarot to connect with your Spiritual Support Team of guides, guardians and ancestors. Finding yes or no answers from the cards and decoding time frames will also be covered.
Week Four – In this session we will put it all together! We will talk about troubleshooting, overcoming obstacles and reading for others. We will also take a deep dive in with some easy readings and creative layouts. Plus, we will practice reading for each other in this session.
The visuals Roxie designed for this session are dynamic and will help guide everyone from the novice, to those who need a refresher. Students will receive a valuable e-workbook written and illustrated by Roxie with homework and resources for further study.
Roxie has been reading professionally for 20 years and brings a wealth of depth and insight for these sessions. She has taught at several Tarot conferences and is one of the leading Tarot Card readers on the New Hampshire seacoast.
Each session will be from 7:00 pm to 9 pm Eastern Standard Time on Thursday night February 5, February 12, February 19 and February 26, 2024.
The sessions will be recorded, so students can re-watch it at their leisure. During weeks 2, 3 and 4 – the Zoom classroom will open at 6:30 pm for any additional questions or feedback.
